4th Annual CGR Poster Evening
19 November 1997

 

The 4th Annual Poster Night was held on 19 November 1997 at Biology 115 Laboratories, Ground Floor, Microbiology Building.

Congratulations to winners of the Life Technologies student prize:

  • 1st Prize: Debbie Crawford for her poster: Regulation of termination signal strength by release factor-3
  • 2nd Prize: Tony Sadler for his poster: The polyhedrin gene of the Wiseana spp. nucleopolyhedrovirus: strain variability and phylogenic analysis

Other prizes presented by the Microbiology Social Club:

  • Korena Paterson - Radioactive Cuff Links - for the most radioactive work presented in a poster
  • Stefanie Keis - Package of M-M's - for the most brightly coloured outfit worn on the night
  • Julie-Ann Cannan - Smart Drink - for the most impressive word in the title of a poster
  • Tim Morgan - Gob Stoppers - for the most impressive title for a poster
  • Rachel Fleming - Chocolate fish - for using the word fish in the title of her poster

It was a successful event with 32 posters entered with about 70 people attending the evening session.
